I noticed a spike in traffic on my Simply Sweets blog for my Martha Stewart story and realized I’ve never shared it here on Sweet Shoppe Mom. I’ve had a variety of careers over the years and with those I’ve enjoyed a variety of unique experiences (or just interesting stories to tell) and this is one of them. This was back in 2008.

I heard about Martha Stewart’s Cutest Cupcake Contest for her television show and submitted this popular cupcake design of mine. A few weeks later I got an email from the television show letting me know I was a grand prize winner! Exciting. But no I didn’t get to meet Martha or go on her show. Still its fun to have a Martha Stewart story.

The cupcake is topped with a white chocolate golf ball (yum!) and surrounded with green tinted buttercream piped with tip #233 (also known as the hair or grass tip). To make the golf ball you just need a golf ball chocolate mold and white candy melts (I always use Merkens or Guittard for the best taste).
